Kikekeller
Kikekeller es un escenario de muebles y objetos únicos, hechos a medida, donde absolutamente todo es posible. Situado en la Corredera Baja de San Pablo 17 en Madrid, surge como un proyecto propio de sus dueños, Quique y Celia. Antes situados en la calle Narváez, se trasladan en el 2008 a un antiguo taller de costura que ellos mismos remodelan.
Después de trabajar en atrezzo para cine, y eventos para hoteles, buscan un espacio en el que poder experimentar con nuevas técnicas, nuevos materiales, descontextualizar las formas de trabajar con estos, dando lugar a interesantes piezas de mobiliario, que, en sus propias palabras, no buscan tanto provocar, como sorprender.
En este antiguo taller han respetado los elementos de interés, como el antiguo papel de pared que surgió durante la obra , las antiguas carpinterías y los suelos de baldosas, nivelando el resto del local con pasta reguladora. Sus detalles merecen tanto la atención como las piezas que se encuentran en él.
Además de las propias piezas de Kikekeller, también apuestan por nuevos diseñadores, que tienen la oportunidad de exhibir y poner a la venta sus prototipos. Lámparas de plumas y resina, luminarias de hormigón, o fabricadas a base de coladores, sillas de piel y forja, sillones de hierro y cuero, camisetas de Daniel Johnston en un perchero compesto por antiguas tuberías...
El espacio resultante es un espacio cambiante donde todo amante del diseño industrial podría perderse durante largo rato contemplando los miles de detalles que aguardan en su interior.

Kikekeller is a furniture and unique objects scenario where absolutely everything is possible. situated in Corredera Baja de San Pablo 17 in Madrid, came up as the proyect of the owners, Quique and Celia. After being for a while in Narvaez St., in 2008 they moved to an old sewing workshop, wich they remodeled.
After working at cinema stage design, and hotel events, they decided to find a space where they could investigate new working tecnics, with new materials, or just new ways o understanding the old ones. Descontextualizing them, they create interestings prototypes looking for surprise.
The space keeps elements from the old workshop, as the wallpaper, some o the tiles floors, the old wood windows...
Besides their own pieces, they give the opportunite of sell their prototypes to new junior designers. Concrete lamps, leather and steel chairs, Daniel Johnston´s tshirt hanging from some old pipes…
The final store is a changing space where you can loose yourself for a while if you are an industrial design lover.
