"L" Shape House
L Shape House se construye por BCHO Architects en un pequeño valle a una hora del área metropolitana de Seúl. L House, una casa que duerme.
Es una casa para una pareja de profesionales que la visitan los fines de semana y, finalmente, se trasladarán a la casa en unos años. Está diseñada para ser una casa hermética mientras que la pareja está trabajando en Seúl. Los clientes se acercaron a BCHO Architects después de tres años de investigación y de visitar muchas otras viviendas de diseño. Compraron los terrenos adyacentes a una carretera con grandes espacios abiertos al sur y al este. La casa empezó como un cuadrado orientándose a la montaña y los árboles. La forma de L es una manera práctica de crear un espacio exterior privado hacia las vistas y protegerse del ruido de la carretera. Toda la casa tiene ventilación cruzada de forma natural para mantener la temperatura interior baja en la humedad del verano, cuando más se ocupan la casa.
La sala de estar principal se divide con un sistema móvil adyacente al dormitorio principal y una terraza cubierta en el sur. El espacio sombreado crea una zona intermedia con sistema de puerta de acordeón. El gran voladizo del sur permite entrar al sol en la vivienda sólo durante los meses de invierno, y restringiendo su entrada en medio del verano, cuando el ángulo del sol es mucho mayor. El patio que resulta de la forma L está lleno de piedras de basalto negro de la zona que reflejan la luz hacia el interior de la vivienda. La fuente de luz indirecta es mucho más agradable para estos espacios de vida casual. La cantidad mínima de jardinería también proporcionó un espacio de uso múltiple para las actividades.
Un dormitorio de invitados separado tiene su propio lavabo y armarios. El espacio también se puede utilizar para tomar el té por la mañana. Una escalera de madera lleva a un pequeño ático de almacenamiento.
L House, A house that sleeps.
L Shape House is built in a small valley about one hour from the metropolitan area of Seoul. It is a house for a professional couple, who visit on weekends and will eventually move to the house in a few years. It is designed to be sealable while the couple is working in Seoul. The clients approached BCHO Architects after three years of research and visiting many other designed homes. They bought the land adjacent to a roadside with great open areas to the south and east. The house began as a square orienting itself to the mountain and trees. The L shape is a practical way to create private exterior space toward the vistas and protecting itself from the noise of the road. Early morning light will enter the sleeping areas of the house as the couple are both early risers. The entire house is naturally cross ventilated to keep interior temperatures low and breezy in the thick summer humidity, when they occupy the house the most.
The main living space is partitioned with a movable wall system adjacent is the master bedroom and a covered deck to the south. The shaded space allows an intermediate area with accordion door system, a stained black cedar and painted Indian red interior, is completely secure while they are away in Seoul. The large southern overhang permits sun into the living space only in mid winter months and air can cool before entering the house in the middle of summer when the sun angle is much higher. The courtyard which results from the building L shape is filled with local white basalt stone which will reflect light up into the living space. The indirect light source is much more pleasant for these casual living spaces. The minimal amount of landscaping also provided a multi use space for activities with one planted tree to hold the corner.
A separated guest bedroom has its own wash basin and cabinets. The space can also be used for morning tea. A wooden ladder makes a small attic for miscellaneous storage accessible.
